Non-profit, charitable organizations in Southeastern New Brunswick that provide human care and social services to the community may apply to our United Way for funding. Under federal rules that govern registered charities, United Way can provide funds to agencies with charitable status, but cannot provide funds to individuals.
Our United Way currently assists 20 Partner Agencies in Southeastern New Brunswick with core funding and program funding. Core funding is reviewed every three years and can be used for operational expenses. It also provides organizations with the stability required to leverage additional funding from other sources if required. Partner Agencies may also apply for program funding on a yearly basis.
Other agencies are eligible to apply for Community Building Grants on an annual basis. The Community Building Grant provides one-year funding of up to $10,000 per program, per year, to programs that enhance existing services or introduce new services that respond to community, human and social needs. Programs must align with United Way impact areas.
