A vital part of United Way fundraising is through workplace campaigns. Volunteers are recruited in workplaces to canvass their peers and encourage giving to support our community. Your United Way workplace campaign enhances morale, builds workplace pride and enables you and your employees to make a tangible difference in our community.
Getting Started
Are you looking for a dynamic project that will generate enthusiasm and create a team spirit among your employees?
A United Way workplace campaign enables you to:
- Demonstrate the social commitment of your firm;
- Entrust your employees to form a team to attain your company’s United Way objectives;
- Create a friendly atmosphere by having your employees participate in a collective effort to make their community safer, healthier and more vibrant;
- Make your employees aware of the needs of the community;
- Promote stimulating and fun activities in your firm for a good cause;
- Set a common challenge for all employees, regardless of seniority;
- Challenge your employees to out do the competition in terms of generosity;
- Create a sense of pride among your employees;
- Publicly thank all your employees for their generosity
One of the first steps in launching a workplace campaign is choosing an Employee Campaign Coordinator (ECC). Once you’ve selected the right person to manage this project - someone who has earned the respect of his or her colleagues, who can communicate effectively and work as part of a team, and who is eager to ensure the success of United Way’s campaign - let us know.
In carrying out their duties, Employee Campaign Coordinators (ECCs) receive solid backing from United Way:
- We invite them to attend a training session;
- We give them the support of a member of the United Way team (Loaned Representative)
- We give them the tools they need throughout the campaign as well as promotional and administrative material;
- We invite them to our events;
- We highlight their contribution through a recognition program
To ensure that your ECC benefits from the support we provide, fax (858-0584) or mail the information below to United Way of Greater Moncton and Southeastern New Brunswick Region Inc. Thank you and have a successful campaign!
