Resource Development

The United Way of Greater Moncton and Southeastern New Brunswick Region is a leader in bringing together the resources needed to improve lives and strengthen communities. We provide financial and non-financial resources to 20 Partner Agencies in Southeastern New Brunswick (Kent, Westmorland and Albert Counties) through core operational funding and program funding. As well, we fund more than 20 community-based initiatives in the region through Community Building Grants. (See Who we support for details). Together, with a network of community partners across Southeastern New Brunswick, we're building a healthy, caring and inclusive community.

Annual Campaign

The majority of fundraising occurs during our annual campaign, which takes place from September to December, though workplace campaigns run at various times through the year. Most of the money is collected through workplace donations (payroll deduction), with the addition of individual and corporate contributions. The Campaign Cabinet of the United Way of Greater Moncton and Southeastern NB Region provides strategic planning and support for the annual fundraising campaign.

Many partners including the business community, labour, the private and public sector, along with citizens from across the region, contribute to the success of the United Way campaign. In 2010, the United Way of Greater Moncton and Southeastern New Brunswick Region raised more than $2.22 million with the help of its many partners. THANK YOU!

Funds raised each year are distributed to agencies in Greater Moncton and Southeastern New Brunswick and are used to positively impact the community by supporting people living in vulnerable situations; improving lives for economically challenged families and reducing poverty; creating opportunities for children and youth; and helping all people gain and retain dignity and quality of life.

United Way relies on the generosity of donors to help transform lives and build a strong foundation for our community. Your investment will give people the support they need to reach their potential. More than ever, United Way needs help to create lasting change here in Southeastern New Brunswick.

Please give.  Your gift matters.
